AFTER THE PLAGUE ~ ART REBORN

Illuminating Shadows: The Renaissance of Art after the Plague

As we emerge from the pandemic, it's the perfect time to reflect on the past and look forward to a brighter future. Through the lens of art, my book celebrates the resilience of the human spirit and the enduring power of creativity. While I may not be an art history expert, I share your enthusiasm for art and have endeavored to assemble a concise book that we can relish and learn from in our leisure time.

On a Personal note, As some of you know, I have poor vision. and I’ve always found it fascinating how an artist's creations are sometimes influenced by their lack of prescription glasses. They paint the world as they see it and sometimes that’s through Cataracts, Glaucoma, Color Blindness or very myopic eyes.

Perhaps subconsciously, I feel compelled to share that poor vision should never be seen

as a disability. On the contrary, it can open up new dimensions and

ways of experiencing the world.

I invite you to enjoy the journey..

After the Plague, Art Reborn is a book that delves into the fascinating world of art history, exploring some of the most significant and awe-inspiring masterpieces ever created. Throughout history, art has served as a powerful tool for self-expression, storytelling, and cultural preservation, with artists across the ages producing works that continue to inspire and captivate us today.

However, the world of art was not always smooth sailing, and many periods in history were marked by turmoil, conflict, and destruction. One such period was the Black Death, a devastating pandemic that swept across Europe in the 14th century, causing widespread death and social upheaval.

Despite this dark chapter in history, something remarkable happened in the wake of the Black Death - a rebirth of art and culture. Artists, writers, and thinkers emerged from the ashes of the pandemic, using their creativity to express the range of emotions and experiences that came with living through such a tumultuous time.

This book celebrates this incredible period in art history, showcasing some of the most stunning and innovative works created in the aftermath of the Black Death. From the religious iconography of Giotto to the sensual beauty of Botticelli, this book is a journey through the ages, offering a glimpse into the artistic genius that emerged from the darkness.
